Pig in the City Return

Miss Puffy the Peppermint Pig welcomes the New Pigs on the Block to Lexington!  Twenty six new pigs line the streets of Lexington, NC as  Pigs in the City III are introduced.  Begun in 2003 as an art initiative to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the town and its barbecue heritage, Pigs in the City has been wildly popular.  Each fiberglass pig has been uniquely decorated and named according to its theme. From Swine of the Vine to Schoolboar these pigs are a tribute to the artists' imaginations.  Come by The Candy Factory to visit Miss Puffy, who first appeared on the streets in 2004, and stay to do the Pig Walk.  Maps are available in the candy store and free posters are given away to those who get the map stamped in 10 of the sponsoring stores.
