The 2006 Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

The 2006 Gingerbread House Decorating Contest at The Candy Factory raised over $1200 for Davidson County's Crisis Ministry. With over 40 mouth-watering structures, the competition was fierce! Winners in the three categories were as follows:

| Teen: |
1st place - Jacob Nance 2nd place - 7th & 8th grade art students at Davidson Academy 3rd place - Cole Clifton |
| Adult: |
1st place - Beth DeLapp |
Winners received gift certificates to The Candy Factory as well as ribbons. This year all of the houses were sold to the highest bidder in a silent auction. All entry fees and auction proceeds went to Crisis Ministry. The contest is run each year during the holiday season to benefit a local charity and is open to all.
